This dude led the Sacred World Assembly I attended, i.e. the retreat where we start samaya vows with the Sakyong. He spent much of the retreat going on and on about his glowing personal stories of the Sakyong. For many of us, that's all we had to go on. When the truth came out years later, I felt so deceived for what Adam Lobel did in that retreat, now knowing how close he was to the horrible behavior. He has never properly apologized to all of us he misled in Sacred World Assembly. During the retreat, his stories didn't sit well with me, although I didn't know why. They seemed to be more about his personal access and importance than a genuine belief. So that's the kind of teaching he is doing. Honestly, the number of self-important young males in Shambhala was always so gross and off-putting.
