People starving is the result of political activity and therefore efforts to address starvation will always be inherently political or they are simply lip service.

The problem is inherently a political one. Food Not Bombs is an Anarchist organization which rejects political and cultural excuses for hunger and addresses not only the immediate material reality of hunger but promotes activism toward solving the underlying problem which causes wide-spread food insecurity in the first place.

Food Not Bombs is NOT charity. We are Mutual Aid. This is not a temporary activity meant as a stop-gap. Feeding our community is what we do, because it is the right thing to do, and because it is the most compassionate and effective form of praxis available to the average person.
