#Weekday 3017 - Day 2

Inspired by this thread, I've decided to 3017 my Maggard's Orange Menthol. I'm going to use it exclusively on weekdays and am allowed to use other products on weekends.

I spent the entire days sick in bed yesterday. I woke up briefly to make some chicken tikka masala and made it nice and spicy to let my sinsues know who's in charge. Then my phone woke me up at 3:00am with a tornado warning (gotta love living in Missouri). The tornado warning ended at 3:30am, and since I was up, I figured that then was as good a time as any to go ahead and shower and shave.

Took a nice, long shower, which helped to clear out my throat and sinuses. I actually could smell the Dapper Dragon soap, which was a plus. It's about gone though, which makes me sad.

Once I was done with my shower, I went ahead and loaded up my brush with soap. I guess I wasn't really paying attention to how long I was loading it because I got waaaaaay too much. I probably ended up with enough lather for six passes, which I really didn't need to do.

It looks like the Feather two days in a row in the Standard might be a bit harsh on my face. I had some irritation and could tell that I shouldn't do a full three-pass shave. I did a two and three-fourths pass shave, skipping the against the grain pass around my mouth, where I tend to cut myself the most.

The menthol felt very nice and was soothing, and like I said, I ended up with too much lather and wasn't paying attention early in my shave, so I got some in my mouth. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Maggard's Orange Menthol is the best-tasting soap out there. Don't get me wrong, it's still soap, but it definitely keeps a hint of an orange creamsicle taste when lathered. If you have a tub of this stuff, lick it, and tell me I'm not right.

I love La Belle du Sud. Amen.
