A few years back I was living in Australia for about a year, ostensibly working as a line cook. I also had a little side business, selling weed and psychedelics, furnished by Healthy Choice (and the Turkish mafia). Anyhow, I would meet turkish-dude about once a week, get drugs, pay him for the last batch - ball keeps rolling. Honestly, the Turks were some of the best people I've ever run into in this business: honest, straightforward, really nice, always hooked me up, didn't bother me about 100$ here or there. It was a really sweet set-up.

Now it's coming up on my return date, and I have around 17,000$AUS that need to go back to turkish dude. I'm sitting there, sober as a fucking stone, looking at this big pile of money, dreading having to go back home, and I decide to just take it. I have to meet the guy that night, and my flight is 2 days away. So I packed my bags, stuffed them with the money, got in my van and drove the fuck off. Thing is, apparently, they knew where I had lived, and made my roommates lives hell for a bit. We'd never been best friends, but they were all directly/tangentially involved in drugs and in Australia to make some money, so they were kind of on my side; gave them the wrong van information etc.

Rumor has it there's a price on my head, and I've been told I'm persona-non-grata in Australia. It's not enough money to cause international problems (probably) but I'm not trying to travel to Turkey any time soon either.

tl;dr: Stole 17,000$ from the Australian chapter of the Turkish Mafia, can never go back to Australia, got my old roommates harassed by mobsters.
