what is your overwatch 2 hot take?

Her's and JQ's were just the epitome of modern writing.

In JQ's she is supposed to be entering a "fight to the death" arena to face the person that has been champ for 13 years running, who also has 2 allies. So 3v1 against the 13 year champ. It plays out like she literally knows she is the main character and therefore guaranteed to win. She's breaking the 4th wall cracking jokes as she enters, and then just kicks ass from start to finish. Even when she gets hit it does literally nothing to her, like she's fucking Saitama. No struggle at all.

Then in Kiriko's she is presented with this apparent dilemma where she needs to choose one way of life or another, but she is just so amazing that she picks both. Oh, and she also kicks ass the entire time as well, without struggling even slightly.

There is an overcorrecting trend in modern writing when it comes to characters that are women, where writers are terrified to make them lose or even struggle to win. And the stories are always worse because of it.
