Funcom 2Q17 Presentation & Report - 8/31/2017

SWL-specific highlights:

-SWL launch "exceeded internal expectations." This does not include the Steam Launch

-Q1 was tremendously profitable for them, and Q2 was profitable. EBITDA of $7.6m for the first six months of 2017, of which $900k was Q2. So, their financials are in much better shape than last year. This is mostly due to Conan Exiles. SWL launched five days before the end of the quarter

-SWL revenue has shot way up, relative to TSW. But it's hard to say how much, as they presented graphs that did not have numbers on the y-axis. They're hiding the ball here (or being very sloppy)

-Coming content for SWL in 2017 includes Lair Bosses, NY Raid, Halloween and Winter events

-Content in late 2017 - 2018 includes "Dark Agartha," an agent system (gather a team of npc agents and send them on adventures) and a new chapter in the main story

They didn't tell us anything about the success of the Steam launch. That's not directly relevant to the Q2 reporting, of course, but it's important for the future.
