I agree with every opinion that says going to war was wrong and that he made the wrong decision. I agree that the consequences of the decision also rest on him.

I don’t agree with not being understanding of the actions he’s taken since then.

I respect the man for having made one of the most difficult decisions ever to make as a leader. All of us have made a mistake in our careers. It just so happens none of us ever have the stakes as high as this man did.

I believe people can change and grow and that they should be re-evaluated at their current state. No matter how much we wish, we cannot change the past. I think what he has done since is admirable, I don’t feel it makes up for his mistakes but I think I can respect that he is putting an effort to correct it in ways only he can.
