Having grown up black I’m sure I can relate to some stuff myself. I’m not downplaying the struggle trust me. Just think the SHOW could have PORTRAYED these elements in a better fashion. Some story plots were never really divulged in well and left room for confusion. Some experiences were just thrown in there without actually going through the whole concept. In dear white people, that shows goes through each experience and plot to the point in which there’s either a resolution or a continuation of the problem. Ginnys relationship with the black girl was never really understood nor written well. Her relationship between the white girls vs black friends also was not explained well for the viewers. The show was made for a mass audience not just mixed girls
