Donald Trump's so-called 'miracle' coronavirus treatment was tested on cells derived from an abortion – The Trump administration has notably opposed medical research that uses fetal tissue from abortions, while knocking back numerous requests from scientists to work with it.

I don't think you understand the point here. The Republican party is increasingly embracing religious zealotry, to the point where Trump has nominated a full on "handmaid" to the Supreme Court.

IF this is allowed to continue, then abortions will be banned and all fetal cell research (regardless of the details - because any fertilised ovum is a person according to them) are highly likely to be banned.

Because these silly restrictions have not YET come to pass - Trump has apparently directly benefited from a government policy his party strongly want to overturn.

This story highlights the hypocrisy of people like Trump and the Republican party.

but it could’ve been an spontaneous one,

That's called a miscarriage. IF in the future when a Christian Theocracy is ruling the country, how will a spontaneous 'abortion' be differentiated from an elective one?

I’m not a Trump supporter

I find it very interesting how many 'not a Trump supporter's will take time and effort to defend someone they allegedly do not care about.
