Yea nah, take this guy's videos with an extra pinch of sal. His analyses usually do not consist of more than superficially summing up wikipedia articles.

Skipping through the video, sure enough he goes on talking about gas pipelines, NATO membership etc, without getting to the crux of the matter. Putin would have invaded irregardless of any of these factors, whether or not gas pipelines through Ukraine existed or whether or not there was any future in which Ukraine joined NATO. None of these are the main reason: Putin does not see Ukraine as a legitimate country, he sees Ukrainians as Russians and thinks the territory was robbed from Russia. Just read his essays from before the war, or read the reasoning from page 8 of the handbook that is given to drafted russian soldiers.
