Hey all. So, I have to come clean and be completely honest. I've been on the ropes about my own type for a long while now. I've switched between considering INTP and INTJ, but neither ever felt completely correct. It wasn't long ago that I considered the possibility of INFJ, and found that the function stack aligns almost perfectly with the way I've perceived my mind to operate.

Skip ahead about three weeks... I found this writing which really is from when I was 17, and everything about it screamed out to me: "INFJ!". I put a lot of faith into that intuition, because writing which predates my knowledge of MBTI is likely to be the cleanest, most unbiased source of evidence I could ever hope to find.

I was using you all as an unbiased source of external validation, but to be fair I had no choice but to be deceitful, because otherwise I would have risked tainting the unbiased nature of the responses. If one believes the owner of the writing to already know his type definitively, one is probably more likely to go with gut instinct on the reply, without imposing personal biases. At least, this is how I feel.
