Heck even Chief had a love interest, Chief promised that he’d settle down and marry Parisa. Parisa held on to the promise and carried a photo of her and John around. She got brought up pretty recently too in a canon podcast series, memory agent.

Fall of Reach tells us Spartans and Elites are about matched, and other books have Spartans beating them handily. Earlier versions of Spartans probably struggle with Elites so them getting beaten in hand to hand isn’t even lore breaking lol
