Bit of a sad story for me. I was the product of a one night stand. I don't know if my Mum just didn't bother trying to find him when she found out she was pregnant, or if she tried and failed (this was long before the days of internet and smart phones) but either way, he had no idea I even existed. For years I searched via agencies to try and find him with what little information my Mum had given me. Finally this year, since DNA tests became a hell of a lot more affordable for the average Joe. I ended up being matched to half brothers and a half niece. I made contact with them, sadly my Father passed away in 2007. It broke me because all my life there was hope, you know, now I knew for sure that I would never be able to have my Father's love, to feel safe in his arms. Anyways, his son replied three times to me, very brief messages, sent me a photo of his Father, then stopped, it's been months now with no word. I'm certain they don't want anything to do with me because their Father (well, my Father too) was married at the time he slept with my Mother. Whole story is a fucking shit show that I'll never fully recover from.
