Heads Up on COVID and vaccines

I think we need to extremely cautious in how we frame our concerned, so we aren’t lumped in with the anti vax space laser assholes.

There are lots of papers that look at the spike protein’s role in autoimmunity, but all fall short of extrapolating what that means for the vaccine.

A subset of people may be susceptible to autoimmune effects from the spike protein. Covid gave me a positive ANA and I am sheltering in place until there is more information.

I want to know -

Can we identify who is at risk? Perhaps through T cell signatures? Do long haulers need one or two shots?

What happens if the spike protein does trigger another round of autoimmune issues for me? There is a treatment for vax induced thrombocytopenia. Would people negatively effected by the vax be eligible for any kind of immunotherapy?

Until the NIH has a contingency plan, I’m not leaving my house. My brain swelled once. I’m not going to roll the dice on losing my ability to walk, talk, or hold a fork again unless I know there’s a plan in place that doesn’t involve the ER telling me I have anxiety, covid doesn’t last more than 14 days, etc.
