"Heavy" has now been out for 24hrs, has your opinion of it changed?

Qualifications: I am a life long LP fan. I collect all their albums and singles. I've seen them in concert about 10 times. I know my shit when it comes to this band.

I remember the first time I heart Guilty. Hairs stood up on the back of my neck. I greatly anticipate new material and seek out the LPU material to get my annual fix.

I'm not a die hard for the rock or metal sound. I actually loved Recharged for example.

I have listed to Heavy twice now. I unfortunately cannot listen to it again right now. It's awful as far as I am concerned for several reasons but especially for a first album single. Yes Linkin Park have had poor songs on albums before but not like this. I can hear Linkin Park's instruments (tone of sound) in the song but other than that for me this is not the Linkin Park I knew and loved.

Problems with the song for me in no particularly order.

Length, it's oddly very short, too short, sub 2 minutes is also risky and this feels like it's missing some drive at the end.

Chester auto tuning voice, I didn't like it, he has such a great voice, why would you do this! The female vocalist adds nothing that Chester could not have done.

It's just like any other pop song in the charts. It reminds me of JB for god sake.

The lyrics are horrible.

It's absolutely nothing like any of their past material. I do not like this "pop" genre generally which is why I listen to Linkin Park. Fine they can happily write whatever type of music they like but don't expect the fans to follow.
