Did you feel Trump's response to the Jewish reporters question was appropriate?

I do not think he answered the question to the expectation of what most people would like to see, however...

This is how I saw the question being asked. He gives Trump credit as to catch his attention, then says, however, which sort of defeats the preface. It's akin to saying, "having said that", or "but", and then proceeds knowing fully well the statement made before the "however", in this case, has just been somewhat negated. Mr. Turx then begins to speak in detail, a little too much IMHO, about an issue that is very particular and circumstantial when it seemed as if President Trump wanted to answer a question about his overall view, not a concise, detail oriented question where, for all we know, President Trump could have little to no knowledge on THAT particular issue (the bomb threats in question). I think it would have been worse had President Trump said something such as, "I am not aware of these threats", which could then be reported in the anti-Trump media as, 'Trump does not care about THIS issue', or 'Trump refuses to acknowledge threats against the Jewish people, but acknowledges threats against (insert race) which PROVES he's an anti-Semite'.

I do not think President Trump handled it extremely well, HOWEVER given the circumstances, I think the situation COULD have escalated and given ammo to anti-Trumpers to be able to call him anti-Semitic. Seems as if President Trump tried to nip, what he perceived as, a potential bait and switch question in the bud.
