I don’t do work that can be quantified easily with numbers. I don’t reduce costs or increase productivity. I assist people in their care. I know quantifying what is done is good for resumes, but I don’t know how to quantify what I do. I may spend a year trying to get a kid to fill out a job application, and the same year getting one kid’s parents to fill out an insurance waiver form for the state. I may spend three days calls every doctor in three counties looking for someone to see one of my clients.

I’m not arguing that there’s a lot going on with my resume that doesn’t make sense, but that’s why it’s hard to write a resume for my field.
