Help me explore a new genre (more info inside)

It's not a PS4 game, but if you were blown away by Mass Effect 1, you really should go back and play Mass Effect 2. It's regarded by most, including myself, as the best game in the series. Rebel Galaxy can scratch the itch for a free roaming, single player, simulation adventure. It's Sci-FI as well. No Man's Sky is coming up in a few weeks. You may want to look into it, and see if it's something you'd enjoy. The Witcher 3 would be good for some of the things you have listed, but just don't go into it expecting something similar to The Elder Scrolls. I see you listed TES as being one of the game series you had the most fun with. People will claim they are alike, but they are drastically different. The only thing they have in common are having fantasy elements and being open world. I'm not saying it's a bad game, don't get me wrong, I'm just putting that out there so you don't get into it hoping for something like Skyrim or Oblivion. Bloodborne may be worth checking out. Idk if you're into that genre at all. A lot of people get turned off by it because of its comparisons in difficulty and such to the Souls games, but it's nowhere near as challenging. It is a genre you have to learn to play tho. Again this isn't PS4, sorry, but the original Dragon Age with all DLC's can be gotten at a good price. It may be up your alley. It's also made by Bioware (Mass Effect) Dragon Age Inquisition is on PS4 but I can't vouch for it or trash it. I never finished it, even tho I was super hyped for it at release. It just didn't live up to everything I loved about the first one, but I'll return to it someday. You could look into it. You may have interest in the Fallout series, or Metal Gear series. If you're just wanting to try a new genre maybe try a Quantic Dream game, or one of the various indie "Walking Simulators" as people seem to want to call them. Ethan Carter was enjoyable, but I'd wait on a sale. If you want another sports game, Rocket League isn't bad. I don't like Sports games usually, but I enjoy it every now and then. I can't really think of anything else to fall into those catagories right now. Not without applying more effort. These are my lazy hours. Hope at least something out of all of that helped.
