This is why I really hate the zero tolerance policy MS and Sony both have for these kind of things. I got a 3 day coms ban on Xbox a few months ago. Buddy on my own team on Gears 5 kept throwing smokes at me, getting in my way, teabagging me when I got downed. I typed in the game chat to please leave me alone. Then he started messaging me harassing me. I asked him again to leave me alone. Then he started spam messaging me and kept harassing me in-game, after like his 10th spam message I finally said, “dude please fuck off” within minutes I got notified I was suspended from communicating for 3 days. I understood and never fought it, but man I mean come on it’s kind of shitty that griefers can get away with this stuff so easily
