Help? Is my eclectus ill? Her eyes are watery and nose seems clogged up, she's making sad little honks. Seems tired and low energy. She's 19

Yes. She is ill. Parrots hide that they’re I’ll for as long as they can, because in the wild, sick and weak animals get picked out of the flock by predators, so they try to appear healthy until they physically can’t anymore. When they finally start showing symptoms, it has gotten so bad that they can’t hide it anymore - even though their instincts tell them that needing to hide their symptoms is a matter of life and death.

You NEED to take her to the vet. She depends on you, she has no way to get help for herself, you are her guardians and the people who she relies on to stay alive. PLEASE start calling around to vet clinics immediately. Even if you call right now you might not even get an appointment for her for a few days, and by then it could be too late. If you wait and call in a few days, you might not get a time until next week, and once parrots show symptoms they decline rapidly.

You need to get her checked out ASAP. Hopefully the thing affecting her is something that her body will be able to tackle with the right support from you and the vets. It is up to you to decide how much potentially risking her life is worth, and if waiting a few days to see if it clears up is worth potentially losing her. I have made that choice before, and I chose wrong. I have regretted that for the last 6 years. I hope it turns out not to be serious, but it very well could be. I will cross my fingers for both of you. Good luck.
