Helping mom use the ipad

I made the mistake of telling my mom about Facebook Marketplace recently. She called me first thing yesterday morning to tell me that she had messaged people about stuff over the weekend and was just seeing their messages now and didn't know how to reply. Just click in the "type your message here" box and type, Mom. "It won't let me. And why didn't the people call me or something? I'm not on Facebook all the time." "They know nothing about you, Mom. They're a random person trying to sell something." "But it's Facebook. They should be able to get my info." "I doubt someone wants to put in that kind of work for a $5 candle, Mom."

Last month, the craziest conversation was "How do you add the eBay thing back on eBay?" I had no clue for 10 minutes what she was talking about (it was a browser extension). My mom isn't completely dumb when it comes to computers, but she's very slow to upgrade programs. I've been making her upgrade a lot over the last year because her computer is struggling to run all this old crap, and I can't handle all the phone calls asking about 10-year old programs. I'm so glad that my dad has no interest in computers or I'd go through this from both of them.
