Let me give you a couple of examples of how things will change based on things that have already happened:
No matter where you live, sale of non veg will be banned on Navratri, shivratri and any other ratri - happened already in South Delhi and entire cities have been made permanently veg like Rishikesh
If people are noisily celebrating any of these ratris, you won’t be able to do shit about it - right now at least in my area you can still call the cops and they actually do have to tell those guys to quiet down
What’s happening is basically the universalisation of a set of values and an attempt to say “only these are Hindu values” even though Hinduism itself has different sets of values for people in different states from HP to Gujarat.
I find it ironic that nowadays people keep a veg fast on even Shivratri- what a joke because Shiv ji himself is depicted wearing an animal hide very often so he obviously has no issue with hunting. Shiv ji is like my clan deity and we offer sacrifice to him, but it’s become a fashion among boomer uncles and aunties to go veg at every excuse and even force their kids as I observed from multiple posts on this sub - thanks to the brainwashing preceding a supposedly Hindu rashtra.
