So, I think some of you guys has probably heard about the recent Drama on the Chess Community (Dewa_Kipas VS GothamChess). And some of you have already know the details. I might have some additional information about it.

Around Yesterday, PERCASI (Indonesian Chess Association) did a Press Conference. According to them, There's an indication of Cheating by Dewa_Kipas. They looked on the data on Dewa_Kipas Game History and found out that the data looked Suspicious. The average Accuracy of Dewa_Kipas from February 22 to March 2 is consistent around 90-99%. Then, The actual name of Dewa_Kipas (DS) was not found on the PERCASI's Archives. Only proof of DS winning a Tournament is a Local Tournament Photo that is posted on Facebook. More suspiciously, When Susanto Megaranto (An Indonesian Chess Grandmaster) contacted DS to do a Match, He refused. Citing that they're not on the same level.

Some other response from PERCASI:

• PERCASI did not accuse Dewa_Kipas as cheating. They only sharing some data and notes.

• The Internet Users that attacked GothamChess and defended Dewa_Kipas has no knowledge on how to play Chess. That's why the controversy became so big.

• FIDE noticed this issue. But didn't think that this a big issue since it did not happen on a Tournament.

• PERCASI will accept Dewa_Kipas as a member if he was proven not cheating.

• Internet Users and Media should do more crosscheck and research.
