How I bought a home on an income under £16,000 | She found a cheap cottage, the agent leaked to her there was zero interest in the property, she negotiated the price down

I'm just saying nobody should get too excited about the European welfare systems because we're still very much in the process of figuring things out. We haven't nailed the winning formula and side effects of bad policy can be extremely damaging. Just to name one example, in Italy Social Security has been bankrupt for years and there seems to be no solution in sight on how to make those lavish pension entitlements sustainable again. Of course there's a case for elderly people living a comfortable life and all that, but youngsters are forced to give up ~33% of their salary to be paid into Social Security where it gets immediately and forever sucked into a black hole. I bet they'd rather pay a contribution into some kind of 401(k). Then again, they wouldn't want to copy the idiotic, ineffective and hyper-expensive US healthcare system. It's difficult shit, man.
