Entry level skill to veteran content is higher for DPS than it is for Tanks or Healers

You can run all base game veteran dungeon content and a majority of DLC dungeon content as a newbie tank as long as you have the sets and stats and have the basic idea of "taunt the big bad meanie and block".

Meanwhile bad DPS players cannot complete some of the easy base game vet content like BC2, CoA2 or direfrost keep without hitting DPS checks.

The skill floor is much, much higher for DPS players.

On the flip side, at the highest level of content in organized veteran trials, DPS players can shut off their brain and just DPS wherever their support roles set them up.
