I have not made a new gay friend since University, yet my friendship group has expanded, but it is all straight people.

I think the ultimate problem is that I am not meeting gay people in the numbers I would require to find someone I would be a friend with ... Most people I meet I am not going to be friends with, and I meet new gay people so rarely what are the chances we share enough in common?

Also does anyone else find there is a kind of wariness of gay people around each other if it is a non dating context?

I did belong to a gay group where we shared an interest when I lived somewhere else - that definitely had the potential for friendships though.
