how worried are people in the way the uk in traveling in regards to trans people?

It’s hard to really say. On one hand I’m very worried, as I think that Roe v Wade has shown how quickly laws and protections can just go.

Obviously our system is different, but the people running it were sadly not so different to those in the US.

However, I’m also trying not to worry too much. Like we really don’t know what will happen. Things can change so fast, for bad or good.

I do think we need to really organise. By which I mean stop relying on marches and petitions and returning to the more radical roots of lgbt liberation. STAR, and other activist groups are sorely lacking. Whilst youtubers and marches are useful, we need more on the ground radical activism.

We need to learn from movements in HK, or from the acts of older activists like Tatchel and STAR. Everything from Jane’s Revenge style, to more art like protest is needed I think. Currently we are kinda stuck in a rut waiting for charities and placards to help us in ways neither of those things can.

But that’s all easier said than done, and sadly unlike gay, lesbian and bisexual activists many trans people have something of a hinderance. Being beholden to healthcare systems and having to deal with dysphoria amongst other things.

I think Mh is already very bad in our community anyway, just from growing up ‘wrong’ for want of a better term. So whilst I want these things, and have loads of ideas for more radical action, I end up still stuck at home suffering dysphoria and anxiety issues.
