I am really wondering…

Like you, I wanted to change. Customer service and dealing with entitled people.

That’s until I got cancer four years ago. I had a sense of my mortality. Being unhappy wasn’t the way I wanted to be.

It was until after I got better I took a trip around Asia, and I just fell in love with Asia.

I wanted to get into Japan because I loved it. Unfortunately, Japan is highly competitive, especially with no teaching experience.

That’s why I chose to go to Thailand, especially during COVID; it got me into the spot I needed to gain experience.

I have to say; I am glad that I decided to teach. I love the kids and the school that I am in. Granted, it wasn’t easy at first. After the first six months to a year, you get over your imposter syndrome and find your best teaching method.

I’ve been in Thailand for almost two years. Enrolled into a MAT that leads to a teaching license.

I hope my new degree, license and experience can get me my foot in the door in Japan.

You have to take a leap of faith, save as much as you come and do it. Try to make friends and learn the local language.
