I completely agree. Not a throwaway since this is pretty much a brand new account but nonetheless,
I have $1.2m in bitcoin at around $19k-$20k with the recent flash crash it went down to $700k. Didn't blink an eye either, although I have previously cashed out $1m in bitcoin and have that in the bank so I just leave the rest in bitcoin. But once it went around $11k while everyone was panicking I put another $400k into Bitcoin, and $40k into LTC and had made pretty good gains.
But like you said, this is sort of house money and if it drops to 0 I still have made a good amount off bitcoin from cashing some out a long time ago.
I pretty much have it set to whenever I change the value of the 'Current Price' it will update all my profit/gains/losses
