How long did you attend and speak at Toastmasters before you felt you "made it"?

My goodness. We begin from a unique starting point and with personal experience.

Every Toastmasters journey is different.

If you have a specific goal, that can be a focus, but I would like to mention a key point about any public speaking.

Audiences don’t judge speakers, they don’t sit there thinking to themselves “they should have said this, they should have done that”.

People are supportive, encouraging and friendly to any speaker. They know it’s hard, and are appreciative of your efforts.

In my experience, comfort with public speaking comes from the realization that I’m comfortable with the subject, know the audience and that they’re on my side.

I can’t write you out a schedule for when that can happen for you! It’s very much a learn by doing exercise.
