How is your quality of life in consulting?

Some might consider having 2-4 specialist tackling under 1000 client’s compliance balanced but non of the employees can agree. Myself included. It is a high stress work environment. That’s something I'm acclimated to and by no means the reason I’m interested in making a career change. Sitting for mostly 8 hours a day is. I do appreciate your positive outlook though. If I could predict from the conversations I’ve had with my boss about this topic I’m looking at ESA work in a years time. Even then I would only be out of the office once every 2 months or so. Do you have experience with bigger firms? What position had the best office/field balance?
