Humans shouldn't be obligated to care about animals.

yeah, i'm not pushing naturalism fallacy.

there is nothing wrong with killing another animal to eat it. killing for food is a sound reason because eating is a necessity and humans are omnivores who can and oftentimes, want, to eat meat. yes, you can eat only plants if it makes you feel good about yourself but that doesn't mean choosing to eat meat is immoral.

if you care about reducing suffering as much as possible, you'd have to start by killing yourself, plain and simple. you can't expect to exist without inconveniencing someone else. if you think buying a chic'n burger for $15 makes you better than someone who just orders beef, then you're simply overly-conceited
