IAmA: Emily Hawthorne and Ryan Bohl, Middle East and North Africa analysts at Stratfor, here to discuss geopolitics, strategic trends, security developments and more

Not the authors, but you should check out risk consultancy groups (Risk Advisory; the Eurasia Group; Deloitte; etc), monitoring jobs (Dataminr, etc...), or state-sector (MFA policy analysts/officers/experts, national delegations to international organisations, etc... Options depend a lot on the way public sector is structured in this field in your country, for instance the UK offers simplified access to general FCO positions, whereas France recruits highly specialised staff via national exams). Try to follow the calendar of junior position/internship openings within international organisations (UN YPP, EC Bluebook, EP Schuman, CoE Junior Professionnal Programme, etc...) to gain some experience to build on.
