cool. didn't want to go down that route without a green light...

prior to minnesota last year i took a sizable amount of caps. not sure of the quantity, but we'll just say it was more than enough. earlier in the day i had also taken a tab, but wasn't really feeling anything at the time of the caps consumption. anyway, after minnesota, my crew ventured over to sherwood to catch break science when it started to hit me pretty hard. everyone decided they wanted to stop at the restroom but i opted to just continue on because i didn't have to go nor did i want to find myself in a frank reynolds situation.

i posted up at the back of sherwood near the forest entrance and things were getting weird. more specifically, i became intensely aware of my surroundings and started to get really uncomfortable due to the massive amount of people passing me by and my inability to process time. i'd also add that there were a couple of cops near me and since i hadn't quite learned of their role i was worried about attracting their attention.

at some point i heard a shrill cry of WHERE'S MY DAD, MY DAD HAS ALL MY KETAMINE, I NEED A BUMP OF KETAMINE and i look over to see a kid in tye dye stumbling barefoot in my direction. i couldn't look away but no one else - not even the cops - paid him any mind. i started thinking intensely about what was going on with this kid based on what i was seeing - what kind of parent does that to a kid? how messed up was this kid? and WHY IS NO ONE REACTING TO HIM? i had a legitimate internal conflict over whether it was real or not. told my friends about it when they returned (and fortunately someone found a video of him after the fest to restore my sanity).

anyway that's my story. the whole thing was probably 25 or so minutes. wasn't my first time tripping alone, wasn't my last. definitely the weirdest, but looking back it was kinda funny.
