Im not 100% up with all the lingo, so 'ratio' is just the word I use for a lot of different concepts, mostly to do with the ratio of some type of card to other type of cards. At the very simple level, the ratio of creatures vs non creatures. I also think of it when deciding the number of copies I want of a card - like if I absolutely want to draw a particular card in my 60 card deck, then I'll put 4 copies of that card in. Obviously that concept isn't directly relevant to you, but maybe you could think in terms of card draw vs not card draw. Ramp vs not ramp. Play a few games against a fake opponent with different ratios, and see what feels best to you.
