I'm looking for a few e-sports players who would be interested in talking to a tv producer/director about a project.

Hey Panda,

Thanks for responding. I'd love to get the perspective from a team owner. Right now I'm at the early stages of putting together a scripted comedy series that revolves around the e-sports world. That alone makes it a tough sell to production companies and networks, but we're going to try.

I play games, and probably have hundreds of hours into counterstrike, cod, halo, etc., but I never really kept up on the professional and e-sports world. I'll read articles and watch highlight reels, but I have a very surface knowledge of it from that. As I do my research, I wanted to get some direct contact with players, managers, coaches, etc.

So if you don't mind, here are a few questions that I have. Feel free to respond here or email me at [email protected].

Thanks for your time! I really appreciate it. If you have any friends who are in the e-sports world, I'd love to get multiple perspectives.

The answers won't be published anywhere, so feel free to be candid. This is all for my research now. When we move forward with making the show, I'd like to have connections with teams we could use on-camera.

How often to your teams practice?

Do you practice remotely, or do you ever get together in the same place?

What are the average ages of your competitors?

How often do you compete?

Do your teams have coaches, and if so what's the coaching side like? Who makes for a good coach?

What is an average day like for your teams (work, school, family)

What do you look for when recruiting players, and how do you decide who makes the team?

What is the sponsorship side like? Do sponsors provide equipment and payments?

Do they approach you?

Do your teams have rivals? And is the competition pretty friendly or does it get a little intense?

What is the the ultimate goal for an e-sports team?

What are some things about e-sports and the competitors that people would be surprised to know?
