Hi. I've started keto again about 2 weeks ago. This is my second time, I had amazing results the first time around and never felt better in my life. I lost a lot of weight in a pretty short time, but I also was working out twice a day. I kept the weight off until I stopped running and went off of keto. Slowly but surely I gained it all back and I feel terrible. I recently decided to stop drinking and I took it as the best chance to start keto again!

I thought I've been doing well so far, but I'm not as anal as I used to be and that might be why I'm still waiting for that wonderful day when you wake up and find yourself in sweet sweet ketosis (hah!). I do track every gram of food I eat, but I've not started working out yet. I'm at a 199lbs (female, 5'4, 34 years, UK). My daily calorie intake is about 1200 to 1400 and I stayed under 20 grams of carbs this week.

Here are my logs of the last 2 weeks.

Week 1

Week 2

I'm struggling at the moment :( I think I know what I have to change, but it's so hard. I still have milk in my coffee and tea, about (2 to 4 carbs per cup) and I worry it might be anti beneficial. I snack on pistachios, about 1.1 carbs maybe twice a day. That's the two biggest culprits I can think of at the moment, milk might be the bigger one. Next time I go shop I'll get some double cream to replace the milk, I just wish it wouldn't spoil so fast.

I also need to start running again, and I pretty much can't wait, but I'm also terrified. I went on 2 walks this week to test the waters, and after the first one which was a power walk I was sore afterwards... After running a half marathon 3 years ago this is so fucking crushing. I love running and I miss it dearly, but I feel like if I would start right now I'd hurt myself, so I'm starting out slowly. I know I just have to bite the bullet and run.

I just got a scale 2 days ago and seeing my weight was upsetting, especially since I didn't see the initial water weight loss (which I feel definitely happened). My weight hasn't changed in the last 2 days and I'm not in ketosis. I did test my blood ketones twice (1.5 and 1.7) which is a start I guess, but in the last 2 days I had insane sugar cravings. Like, really really intense, it felt like having tunnel vision and all you can see and want is sugar, right now! It's frightening. I didn't cave.

So, I don't really have a question I guess, but I feel alone and disheartened. Maybe you can share your keto story with me to ground me a little bit? Or maybe a tip on how to go into ketosis a little quicker.

(I deleted my thread and posting here, sorry)
