It's insane how far we've come in 20 years [Tomb Raider]

At the end of the day that's what they are. Zeroes and ones. Broken down enough. That's not what you see but that's essentially what it is at it's core, what the argument truly is. It's extremely shallow and the difference isn't that big in my opinion, unless you're running two Titan X's or 980's in SLI on GTA V, I really can't tell the graphical difference. At the end of the day it's the same game whether it's on a console or on a PC.

The entire point is the price to performance ratio. People are still mainly using 1080p TVs and monitors, mainly because most 1440p to 4k monitors are overpriced. Then on top of that you need to have a PC that can even run games that are outputted to that resolution. Good luck beating a PS4/Xbox One with a 1080p screen. None of my games are 900p that I play personally. Grand Theft Auto V, Gears of War Ultimate Edition (60 FPS), Forza 5 (60 FPS), Payday 2, and The Last of Us (60 FPS) are all 1080p.

Games have been failing to run since I had my first laptop in 2013 until now with my Alienware Alpha. Pressing install on Steam is apparently not enough, there are games that don't run after that (GTA IV, GTA V, etc.) I get random errors and have to then waste time trying to make a game work that I already own. That's beyond ridiculous in 2016.

I spend more money over time with a console due to a subscription sure, but I also spend less than half the hassle that I do with a PC.

I also can't get a virus or malware on a console. Whereas it's possible even if you're safe and can ruin your PC. Usually need to do an entire reinstallation of your OS. Just another issue that can be completely avoided.

I'd love to see a R9 380 PCPartPicker build. I'm completely open to admitting I'm wrong, but I'd love for you to prove it through a list of components, optimizing the price for performance and outdoing a $300 Xbox One (which comes bundled with a game).
