There is no mitigating of capitalism. It doesn’t work that way, and it’s not because of the Socialist; it’s because of the the system that deprives others through wage labour.

The reason for this is clear: the Capitalist system, and by this, when it relates to Canada, I mean the very political party that has perpetuated racism and economic inequality, The Liberal Party of Canada, has also done an effective job of depriving the Worker of something called “class consciousness” and the NDP have done nothing to combat this.
There is no such thing as “mitigating capitalism.” That is bourgeois as it comes, because the capitalist is only interested in giving moderate reforms to those who do not “have,” so long as the the economic situation allows them to do so.
A recession? Well, that’s good news for the the money grubbing and soul depriving, Money Merchant, because the Sharks can collect more Capital, while the rest, in their small, salt water sea drown, because only the Bourgeois can collect the Capital and make money during a recession, because they are the only ones who have enough Capital to begin with, so they can throw their chips into the lot. Some win, collect, eat the smaller Bourgeois fish, and then, as a small, albeit paradoxical acknowledgement of the the Working Classes’ suffering during during the Capital Wars, give breaks.
They lower your taxes, which is a big talking point for Fascists, drop interest rates, encourage people to buy products that companies produce, and then pull the plug when there is too much wealth floating around. This has been the cycle of the capitalist economic reality since it was invented, and it was invented!
The proper job of the true Socialist is not to, as you put it “mitigate,” but to undo, fix, restore, and and to help those who have not only been impoverished, but humanity as a whole; humans must break free from a system that supports a wealth inequality, based on perverted gangsterism, racism, sexism, homophobia, and general degeneration, which results from the manipulation of the human who wants to work.
Your human essence is only worth half of what you do. When you work, you will only receive half the value for what you, yourself, make, or do. For there must always be profit for the wage master; one takes, but only gives when one has taken enough!
