Why isn't Helmut Kohl held in greater esteem by Germans?

Carry on with embarassing yourself. I have already exposed you for the ignorant buffoon that you are. You really shouldn't be posting here if you can't get the basic facts right. Clearly your ideological alignment is preventing you from acknowledging historical truths so I am not even going to bother anymore.

Oh and you are wrong for the umpteenth time. Mitterrand did initially oppose the reunification, but Kohl managed to use his close working relationship with him to his advantage, alleviate his concerns and get the France on board by agreeing to abandon German marks and introduce Euro, a decision that proved to be fantastic for Germany and its export oriented economy.

For someone who claims to be from Germany, you are really demonstrating a shocking lack of knowledge about its history.
