I agree mostly, I always hated their bits and shit though. Some of that shock jock shit was cringeworthy even back then.. in retrospect they were probably all Opie's ideas. But the comedian guests just talking about everything and shitting on each other was so great. I can listen to Louis and Patrice all day, and Anthony Cumia was so fucking quick and witty back then you'd think he was a stand up. Opie didn't chime in as much either. Now that I think about it though, how could it ever be that great again? Louis CK is a liberal A-Lister, Patrice O'Neal is a pile of ash, Opie is so exposed and insecure he will never be able to quietly steer the ship and Anthony seems to be in a permanent race obsessed stupor. As for the rest of the regular comedians, most have advanced past Opie, Anthony and even Jim Norton, losing their edge along the way (Burr, Jeffries)

I want to see Opie, Jason Ellis and J&S cancelled and replaced with a new show. "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn" Regular morning line-up: Colin Quinn, Keith Robinson, Jim Norton, Rich Vos, Nick DiPaolo & Bob Kelly with special comedian guests now and again. (Louis, Seinfeld, Rock, even Cumia) Colin could easily get the a-list comics in. Just 3-4 hours of trashing each other and hilarious group discussions. It would scrub Jimmy clean of the dead O&A stench while allowing him to keep his job but in a more suitable environment. One where he isn't expected to carry the show and can go back to witty one liners and characters. Give Colin and the others all of the money siriusxm is wasting on Opie and Jason Ellis, and maybe make Sam Roberts an executive producer or something. Then we could all forget Opie exists and laugh again. I know It'll never happen, but it really would be amazing. I'll go kill myself now.
