Japanese Robot Team has Accepted the U.S. Challenge!

I'm sorry to disappoint, but there's nothing official yet:

The American robot manufacturing team MegaBots, Inc has challenged Japan's Suidobashi Heavy Industries Kuratas to a battle.

The reason for the challenge is, in their words, "Suidobashi! We have a huge robot. You have a giant robot. You know what needs to happen?" Watch the following video for their challenge:

MegaBot 2 is a 5.4 tons gasoline powered robot. The robot has been furnished as a two-seater type and has the ability to shoot 1kg paint balls at 160 km/h (according to their challenge video).

The MegaBots side has set the battle a year from now for preparations, but Suidobashi Heavy Industries has not made a reply as of yet. We will issue a follow-up report after we contact them with the question, "So they've been saying this, but are you going to do?"

Follow-up: According to the representative of the Suidobashi Heavy Industries, who had been unilaterally challenged, "At this time, Suidobashi Heavy Industries does not have any particular comment."

On the other hand, Mr. Kurada, who designed the Kuratas, comments:

"Just as we expect from the Americans.

Putting aside the challenge for now, I have something to say first. What the hell is Japan doing?

Shouldn't it be the norm for stuff like this to have Japanese robots fight each other first, and then have the last one standing face the Americans?

We've been waiting for four years since building the Kuratas, and stuff like this happens because people have been slow. I am truly vexed.

We'll take some time to think about it, so sit tight MegaBot."

From his official blog, "We will build anything."

They have the intention of accepting!
