I quite enjoy Jim Cornette. I’ve listened to dozens of episodes of both of his podcasts.

He has every right to whatever opinions he has about AEW, WWE, or any other promotion that is out there, along with the state of pro wrestling today.

None of that bothers me. I understand that much of what he says is an exaggerated act to generate income.

I’m more concerned with his hypocrisy and the lack of self awareness he has in regard to the things that he has complained about. Many of the things he does not like he has done throughout his career.

One of his main contentions about the current state of professional wrestling is it’s believability.

For a man who once proudly managed a tag team that would go on tv and say they came from outer space shows his hypocrisy. Once promoting a man who believed he was a thousand year old mummy shows his hypocrisy.

How are either of those things that vastly different than an invisible man gimmick on the indies?

He’s targeted several current wrestlers for exposing the business.

Yet he’s stayed mum on guys like Harley Race who actually was on a tv show where he exposed the business. He’s stayed silent on a guy like Dick Murdoch who would regularly go into a ‘Three Stooges’ routine during his matches.

He protects guys that he knew from his era despite them ‘exposing’ the business to the same degree that a guy does today.

The same can be said about bad comedy, among several other things he does not like about wrestling.

It was fine for him in his time, yet suddenly it’s not okay for today.
