Meltzer regarding recent criticism toward AEW for "lacking diversity"

No one is saying that you have to compromise one persons story over another based on their race.

But you are though, pushing people in a main event spot requires TV time and storylines that takes away TV time and storylines from other people in the main event, so who should have got that time instead, so who should have been pushed?

Hangman is still the champ but ask yourself this, out of all the performers who have challenged for the world championship over the entire period AEW has been around, how many of them have been a person of colour and compare that to how many of them are white.

There have been a tonne of Hispanic challengers for the title, and that number is even higher for the TNT title, which gets way more defences on TV. Eddie Kingston was in featured matches on PPV all year after 20 years of being looked over despite his talents.
