I've been working to overcome TDS myself. Unlike you, I watched tons of CNN... right up to the point where I realized that all they wanted was for me to be pissed off all the time so I'd keep watching. I used to get pissed with Trump officials like Kellyanne Conway would go on and be confrontational, right up until the point where it dawned on me that CNN only had them on precisely so they would piss me off and that Trump officials were confrontational in the way they were because CNN just isn't worth taking seriously.
My blood pressure has dropped considerably after turning that nonsense off but the road to recovery is admittedly a long one.
