With cheek piercings dahlia/dimple it swells up like crazy! I had mine pierced 3 times in one day cuz the piercer kept putting short jewelry and then not being able to find the hole eventually i had to be pierced with the longest tongue bar there is and it stuck out like a whisker for 2 months until i was able to downsize to a normal size honestly i took mine out after 6 months because they are almost impossible to fully heal and you will have occasional bumps every now and then which can be annoying because its just a big pimple oozing out puss and its annoying to deal with but in my opinion these do look to be pierced in an angle it could be due to swelling but mine was completely straight and done right
