Killer robots declared ‘existential human threat’ by expert who fears fatal AI uprising

I don’t think it would be necessarily smart for AI to exterminate all of the human race, they might treat us the same way we treat other animals when their numbers get to high. we typically send in a predator to drop the numbers to a healthy number. Granted this would be catastrophic due to the human race being dependent upon one another for food, shelter, and protection. also the percentage of farmers in the US is 2% so if they kill a good portion of people there’s a chance the farmers might go extinct which in tern makes us extinct. Granted when machines become more intelligent then us, they would most likely have thought of what I just said and choose a more humane approach. Either way whatever decision they come up with will most likely be horrible for us.

In the end I believe AI will take over as the next intelligent generation and we will become extinct just like the Neanderthals. Or an alternate option would be us evolving into a type of a cross between AI machinery and biological beings.
