I was having a tough time in life a few years ago and remembered I was playing through MGSV The Phantom Pain back then. All of a sudden after the mission I was called back to Mother Base and I thought another outbreak had just started and I wasn't ready for it. Turns out they had a birthday celebration for Venom Snake - for me.

I had forgotten all about it IRL and I didn't check my phone the whole day for it held a lot of my anxieties at the time. I was genuinely shocked and I shed a tear as I remembered why I play video games in the first place. It brought me so much joy and even in my darkest times, they still got my back.

Kojima you are one hell of a genius, you and your works still blow my mind to this day.
