Knob & Switch Porn

Although kinda off topic, this is like why drawbar organs are better than presets, and why analog synths are better than software, and why using a nice effect pedal or amp is better than some digital preset. There’s a satisfaction that comes with turning and messing with knobs and switches. You can feel like what you’re doing is making a real change, instead of just some software doing it with the click of a key. It’s like why although soft touch buttons are nice, I know a lot of people have a soft spot for nice heavy “keys” on an old cassette deck. It’s like old tuners when you spin the tuning knob and it keeps going even after you release. The weight to it is just satisfying.
