I hadn’t thought of it like that before but, I think we shouldn’t pull punches when it comes to suicide. Medical assisted suicide is a different story, I am a firm believer that we shouldn’t let people suffer with no chance of getting better, and the laws haven’t caught up with the advancement in medicine. I understand mental health is extraordinary important, and it is an area that the US woefully mishandling, but I worry if we normalize suicide or even less the stigma on it that would cause more people to do it. Most suicides at the end of the day is awful gut wrenching shit and people should be aware of just how heartbreaking it is to the people they leave behind.
